About the Role
Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00-8:00pm and Saturdays 11:00am to 6:00pm.
About: This is a 16-year-old boy. He was born with drugs/alcohol in his system and adopted by his current family. The family is seeking a DSP who can always be with him ensuring his entertained, as well as assisting with cleaning up after him and supporting his hygiene needs. He has mood swings and needs a DSP who is comfortable helping with regulation and redirection.
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
