About the Role
Schedule: Weekdays 3:30pm- 8pm & Weekends 12pm - 8pm.
Client is a funny, goofy, 12-year-old boy, who likes to make people laugh. He is very caring and sweet. He enjoys playing video games and soccer. Family is seeking a male DSP who can support the client in learning about, and watching for social cues, building social skills, daily hygiene tasks, keeping his area clean, community integration, and positive redirection when needed. Family would prefer a DSP who can provide transportation.
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
