About the Role
Schedule: Wednesday 2pm - 6pm and Friday's 3pm-7pm & Saturdays 10am-6pm and flexible with Sunday's and overnight relief care as well.
Family would like to have a DSP that is able to keep the client in his after-school routine. His routine when he is off school is to go to the bathroom, Wash his hands, Eat a snack & then go out to the community. His favorite place to go to is Burger king to play in the indoor playground. The family would really like for the DSP to just take the client after school and meet new friends at stores, & Parks. Client would need for DSP to use constant reminders about using the bathroom. The family has 1 dog in the household.
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
