About the Role
Schedule: Weekdays 3pm-9pm, Weekends: open
Client is a super happy, excitable, high-energy 9-year-old girl. She loves to draw and use clay. She is very social and makes friends easily. Client struggles to find balance between her wants, and those of her peers, and experiences extreme highs and lows in emotion. Family is seeking a DSP to support the client in social-emotional skill building, including emotional regulation, friendship making, building empathy, and perspective-taking. Some very minor assistance with ADLs. Family would like a DSP who can provide school pickups.
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
