About the Role
Schedule: As needed (On Call) 1-2 overnight care shifts depending on the month.
About: The client is a 4-year-old boy who likes to build things, play with Legos and magnets, play outside, and play games on his tablet. He has a hard time with transitions and doesn't like to be told no. Some days are better than others and he has lots of energy. Looking for a DSP to assist in potty training the client. Sometimes he will need full assistance and sometimes he won't, but will need cuing to wipe and wash his hands. Sometimes he is energetic and needs extra care and attention to get him to follow directions, other times parents stated it isn't an issue at all.
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
