About the Role

Schedule: Tuesday and Wednesday 3pm-8pm.

The client is a 7-year-old boy and has a diagnosis of autism and ADHD. DSP must be energetic and consistent and able to stick to the client’s routine. DSP will assist client with emotional regulation and building fine motor skills and communication skills. The family has 3 cats and 2 dogs, so DSP must be comfortable around animals and be a non-smoker. Transportation is not needed. Client gets very excited meeting new people so when a DSP is interested, they would like to ensure they are sensitive to this.

Requirements

  •  Daily Requirements: 

    • Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s) 

    • Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes. 

    • Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift. 

    • Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments.  Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.  

    • Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
