About the Role
Schedule: M-F 6:30am-8:30am and 2pm-6pm. Needs: 5-year-old girl.
Her mom would prefer a DSP that speaks Spanish, but she speaks decent English so will be fine if the DSP does not speak Spanish. Very active kid. Can use the bathroom independently but needs reminders to use bathroom and constant supervision in general. The client understands Spanish, mostly speaks English but simple is better. Not super aggressive but can get frustrated easily. DSP needs to be patient. Family needs a DSP that is female and can provide transportation to and from school (current license and auto insurance).
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
