About the Role

Schedule: M, T, Th, F: 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm, W 2:30 pm - 7:30 pm, and 1-2 weekends per month (Saturday & Sunday), all-day.

About: The client is a 15-year-old girl. The family would like a DSP who is vaccinated for COVID. Someone who will prompt her with everyday tasks such as folding her clothes, brushing her teeth, and taking a shower. Someone who will also take her into the community for fun events or color with her at home. The DSP needs to have thick skin as this client has behavioral issues including verbal aggression such as swearing at the DSP. These behaviors are likely a result of her exposure to drugs/alcohol in the womb. She has a therapist and psychiatrist to try to help her manage her behavior. She would benefit from someone who can work collaboratively and ask for support, including ongoing support and training with her PBSP (Positive Behavior Support Plan).

Requirements

Daily Requirements:

  • Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)

  • Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments.  Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.

  • Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
