About the Role

Schedule: Mondays, 3:30pm- 7:30pm and flexible availability on the weekends. 10+ hours a week.

The client is a 12-year-old boy. Family needs a DSP that can provide transportation (has a
vehicle, current license, and current auto insurance). Someone who is physically fit and can participate with the client in physical activities at home and in the community (e.g. hiking, walking, scooter riding, biking). The client is overall a very sweet and gentle kid. He is verbal but is also learning to use AAC to support communication. He loves playing with water and balloons. He enjoys walks, hikes, and scooter rides. He is learning to complete chores at home.

Requirements

Daily Requirements: 

  • Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s) 

  • Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes. 

  • Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift. 

  • Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments.  Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.  

  • Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
