About the Role
Schedule: Weekdays 4pm-8:30pm & Weekends 11:30am-8:00pm.
Client is a sweet and lovable almost 10-year-old boy. Family is seeking a relaxed, laid-back, and patient, female DSP, who is open to pets and is extra attentive to their very active child. Client has a history of some self-harm and has a reduced awareness of pain and illness. Family would like a DSP who can provide transportation and support the client in emotion regulation to reduce self-harm during overwhelm. Family would like DSP to support the client in community integration as well as in activities of daily living, such as toileting, bathing, and dressing. ��
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
